We all have our personal picks when it comes to choosing what kind of pet to get. Some people like cats or fish, while others tend to have exotic creatures like snakes or iguanas. For the family-oriented ones, nothing beats having a reliable and caring dog.
Everybody knows that dogs are unique and intelligent animals. They are affectionate and loyal, with an undeniable instinct to protect those they cared about the most. This protective instinct is one major factor why humans usually fancy raising dogs as pets.
Family dogs were expected to have this protective instinct, an essential trait, mostly when it involved kids. Dogs were known to look after their families, responding swiftly during cases of emergencies. But how was it that a stray dog was seen with the same type of caring and concern and offered it to a virtual stranger?
In Turkey, one particular dog’s protective nature was revealed unexpectedly during a theatrical performance led by a group of street performers. Incredibly, this dog was a stray, who by chance had passed by and witnessed the dramatic scene unfold.
In one of the scenes, an actor named Numan Ertuğrul Uzunsoy pretended to be injured and laid down on the ground. As the actor remained unmoving, a strange brown dog moved forward and inspected him. Concerned, the dog immediately pressed his head on Uzunsoy’s forehead and throat, probably checking the extent of his “injuries.”
The sweet dog cuddled close to the fallen man and gave him gentle kisses to wake him. Uzunsoy smiled broadly at the dog’s valiant efforts in “reviving” him, happily sharing the unexpectedly emotional moment with the lovely canine. The group had to pause their act and gently moved the friendly dog from the stage.
Everyone was delighted by the sudden intrusion of the worried dog. The stray pup was a regular visitor to that particular area, which probably explained why he felt protective of the humans he encountered in that place.
