Lola was fostered for two long years before she was adopted by Annie Belanger Burley and her family. The Burleys recalled that Lola used to be a quiet dog, but now, she became a confident, vocal pooch.
The Burley family admitted that it took them a while before they officially adopted her, but they said that adopting her was the best decision they have ever made. Annie shared that having Lola for over half a decade made their lives so much happier because her goofiness never ended.
Annie gushed how amazing Lola’s temperament is, but her weirdness was over the top because she loves being tucked in bed at night. Lola often gets mistaken by other dogs and people who do not know her for always growling all the time, but she makes snoring sounds whenever she breathes.
Annie recalled that she always buys her sons and Lola snow cones whenever they go out for car rides, and she shared how spoiled Lola is. She shared that she and her children go to North Forth Myers to order from Pelican Snowballs a couple of times a month.
Annie said that Lola’s favorite flavor is chicken broth snow cone served with a Milk-Bone on top. She recalled how Lola’s grumpy face would change into big googly eyes in an instant whenever the flavored treat is right in front of her face.
Annie went to the same store again after a few weeks with Lola, but she had to order a plain snow cone since Lola had a stomachache the previous night and did not want her to get another tummyache. However, Lola’s face immediately became sour as soon as she realized that it is not her usual flavor and gave her mom a side-eye, making Annie laugh out loud.
