If you have already watched the previous John Wick movies, then you will know that this whole franchise started with the story of a man taking revenge for his dog. In the new John Wick movie, most of the scenes will center around Keanu Reeve’s character “John” and his pitbull.
Doggie action stars
This incredible pitbull will be by John’s side for most of the film as his war with those who killed his beagle puppy continues on. This dog becomes his protector and sidekick as he travels and fights the many enemies that John has throughout the movie. However, he was not the only dog featured in the film. Halle Berry’s character also has two Belgian Malinois shepherds that take part in the action as Halle Berry fights with Keanu in their scenes.
To make sure that everything was perfectly safe for the furry co-stars, director Chad Stahelski enlisted the help of Andrew Simpson who is one of the best dog trainers in the industry. This is to make sure that all the stunts and action scenes that the dogs took part in would not hurt the dogs in any way.
The director, trainers, actors, and stunt coordinators even planned for months before they even started shooting. This was to make sure that every scene would be realistic. Also, it was to make sure that the bonds that the actors had with these dogs would be developed. They even had to make sure that the sets they created were animal-friendly since they also used horses in some parts of the movie.
It truly goes to show how much of a dog lover this franchise has become. They still plan on using more and more dogs and other animals for the next films.
