Dogs are not only considered as man’s best friends; they can also be best friends with other animals. For example, it’s not hard to imagine a large dog becoming friends with a rabbit. The following story proves this.
A woman named Jessica owns a very energetic dog named Roman. This dog is clumsy and has an outgoing personality. This is what makes him special in Jessica’s eyes. She knows him so well that she could easily identify him from a group of similar-looking dogs.
Roman’s wonderful personality shone brighter when Jessica rescued a rabbit. Suddenly, the large dog had a new playmate inside the house. The rabbit came from a breeder who no longer wanted her. Jessica named her Sugar and made sure she got along with Roman.
The introduction process between Roman and Sugar went smoothly. Roman didn’t mind her presence; he even allowed her to hop all over him. The rabbit felt free to do whatever she wanted without fear of a bigger animal getting upset.
When Jessica observes her two pets, she knows she made the right choice. Roman and Sugar sleep together without any sign of conflict. Roman makes Sugar feel at ease and vice versa.
Sugar doesn’t like being touched a lot by people, especially when her feet are involved. However, she doesn’t mind it if Roman is the one being touchy. The dog can lick and prod the rabbit as much as he wants.
Sugar loves to hop and bounce wherever Roman is. She does this to get the dog’s attention. Sugar is the one in control of most of their interaction. She lets the dog know if she wants to play or not.
Roman’s presence makes Sugar feel safer inside the house. While Sugar has taught Roman how to be sensitive and respectful. Both pets benefit from each other, and Jessica loves seeing them interact.
