Dogs That Weren’t Allowed In Commercial Airlines Get Help From The Granddaughter Of A Well-Known American Industrialist

Dogs That Weren’t Allowed In Commercial Airlines Get Help From The Granddaughter Of A Well-Known American Industrialist

As dog owners, we can all surely agree that we treat our furry companions like they were part of the family. If you’re like most dog owners, you really can’t imagine yourself surrendering or abandoning your dogs for any reason at all. Unfortunately, there are certain situations where people are forced to leave their dogs in shelters or with another family member. Many dogs end up getting abandoned because their family ended up moving in houses or apartments where dogs aren’t allowed.

A soldier named Andrew Morales almost lost his two dogs named Dusty and Wyatt. Dusty and Wyatt are Anatolian Shepherds that are known for their huge size. When Andrew was deployed to Afghanistan, he met Dusty and Wyatt and quickly bonded with them. Andrew was able to organize to take Dusty and Wyatt back home with him in the US and the two dogs quickly became a part of Andrew’s family.

The two dogs were Andrew’s best friends and he couldn’t imagine life without Dusty and Wyatt. However, the time came when Andrew was reassigned from California to a base in North Carolina. Andrew and his family needed to move to North Carolina to be near the base. It wouldn’t have been a problem but when Andrew tried booking flights, he soon found out that no commercial airline would accept Dusty and Wyatt on any flights.

Commercial airlines stated that Dusty and Wyatt were too big for commercial planes that were landing at the airport near Andrew’s base. Andrew had no other option but to consider leaving his dogs behind. Thankfully, a woman named Helen Rosburg didn’t allow this to happen.

Helen is the great-granddaughter of William Wrigley who’s a very well-known industrialist in the US. Helen’s family has always been deeply patriotic and she’s also known to be a dog lover. After learning that a soldier was about to lose his dog because no commercial airlines were willing to fly them, Helen stepped in and chartered a private plane for Andrew and his entire family including his two beloved dogs.

Thanks to Helen, Andrew, and his family never had to leave their beloved dogs behind. Andrew and his family were so thrilled to hear about what Helen did and they hope to meet Helen in person one day to thank her. Here’s a truly heartwarming story of how a woman helped a US Marine with his two dogs.
