Dogs’ keen sense of smell and their curiosity could sometimes put them in big trouble. They always want to follow wherever their noses lead them – which could become a problem for their owners too.
Bear and Bull, both six years old and Labrador-mixes, are best of friends. They are used to digging up holes together and looking for something they could play with.
There is also one thing these two dogs would do anything for – a snack.
One afternoon, a mail truck stopped by their house to deliver a package while the two dogs are up doing their hobby. The postal worker stepped out of the vehicle, leaving the door open, as she usually does.
Little did she know that Bear and Bull will smell something from her truck – it was her lunch that she left on the driver’s seat! Her food, which had eggs, carrots and pumpkin seeds in it, was already gone before she was able to come back to the truck.
These two dogs just finished her lunch!
Realizing what the dogs did and worrying about what might happen to them, she quickly took a pen and wrote down to tell the owner what happened. She left the paper in the mailbox of the dogs’ home to make sure that the dogs will be alright.

The dogs’ mom, Carol Jordan, read the note and was very apologetic. She wrote back to the postal worker saying, “Sorry we ate your lunch. Thank you for sharing! P.S. Our humans said, ‘Thank you’ for leaving a note. We didn’t like the note. We got in trouble.” She also attached a Subway gift card to it.
Of course, Bear and Bull are just dogs, and they didn’t really face big trouble. Carol took a photo of her dogs’ apology note and posted it on Facebook with the caption “Wall of Shame.” Since then, the funny story caught the netizens’ attention.
