Hank is an endearing dog that lived in a shelter and is obsessed with a purple toy hippo. This adorable canine saw the hippo as his best friend. The two went about their daily lives together – eating, sleeping, and even playing.
One day, the shelter’s staff discovered that the hippo had been ripped into bits. A photo of this went viral on the Internet and quickly became one of the most popular Instagram stories.
On Facebook and Instagram, the Fox Valley Humane Association shared a photo of Hank with his purple best friend. It was an odd adoption notice and it piqued the public’s interest.
As per the notice, Hank and his fluffy companion could not be parted. They were thought to be inseparable. If anyone wanted to adopt Hank, he had to bring the purple hippo with him.
Additionally, the report stated that the hippo refused to allow the shelter’s employees to know her age, but they felt she was younger than Hank. Additionally, the adoption post said that the hippo was spayed and vaccinated.
A few days after the cheeky post went viral, the purple hippo was discovered nearly decapitated. A resident staff performed emergency surgery to reassemble the hippo. It was unclear who committed the crime due to Hank’s refusal to provide detailed facts.
When he was interviewed, he averted his gaze, but it appeared as though the look on his face emphasized his guilt even more.
After subsequent interrogations, the shelter uploaded another Instagram post the following day. This time, the purple hippo was wearing a cone of shame while Hank was being interrogated in another room.
The shelter sparked public curiosity by inquiring as to who was accountable. The story captivated the audience, and to add credibility, they invited the local police department to join in on the fun. They brought a canine to search for evidence and clues.
Hank’s name was finally cleared after the tale became viral on the Internet. The dog and the purple hippo were eventually adopted.
